2010 Legislative Session 

The 2010 Regular Session convened on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 and will continue for 60 days. Over 17 bills were introduced in the House of Delegates and over 20 bills were introduced in the Senate chambers. There were a number of similar bills introduced in both the House and Senate.

During the regular session, these bills will pass through committees for further discussion and refinement.  All bills to be considered must be submitted by 5:00 PM on January 22nd; bills will be shared between the House and Senate on February 17th for final write-up and consideration.

The 2010 Regular Session will adjourn sine die on Wednesday, March 13, 2010. The Reconvened Regular Session will meet Wednesday, April 21, 2010, to consider Governor's recommendations on legislation from the Regular Session.

The 2011 Regular Session will convene Wednesday, January 12, 2011.
